Placing Your Television in Standby Mode

The mains lead is attached to the rear of your TV.

The main voltage is indicated on the rear of the TV and the
frequency is 50 or 60Hz.

Plug the mains lead into an appropriate socket.
Result:
The Standby indicator lights up on the front panel.

Result:
The programme that you were watching last is
reselected automatically.

When you switch the TV on for the very first time, you will
be asked to choose the language in which the menus are to
be displayed (see page 14).

To switch your TV off, press the POWER button (
Your TV can be placed in Standby mode, in order to reduce the
Power consumption.
The Standby mode can be useful when you wish to interrupt
viewing temporarily (during a meal, for example).

Result:
The screen is turned off and a green Standby indicator
appears on the front of the TV.

To switch the TV back on, simply press the POWER button (
again or a number button.

Do not leave your TV in Standby mode for long periods
of time (when you are away on holiday, for example).
