Install the SIM card and battery
1. Remove the battery cover and insert the SIM card.

Do not remove the battery from the phone without unplugging
the travel adapter fi rst. Otherwise, the phone may be damaged.
Enter text
To change the text input mode
In a text input fi eld, press [
] and select the input mode you want.
Press and hold [
] to select the T9 word mode
1. Press [ 2 ] to [ 9 ] to start entering a word. Press each key only once
for one letter. The word you are entering appears on the display. It may
change with each keypress. Finish entering the word before editing or
deleting any keystrokes.
2. Press
[
]
to insert a space and enter the next word.
ABC or abc mode
Press the keys labelled with the letter you want once for the fi rst letter,
twice for the second letter, and so on.
Number mode
Press the number keys corresponding to the digits you want.
Symbol mode

]
In the text input fi eld, press and hold
to activate the symbol mode.
Press the number keys corresponding to the symbols you want. You can
press [ left ] or [ right ] to display more symbols.
To move the cursor, press the navigation keys.
To delete characters one by one, press < Clear >. To delete
characters on the left side of the cursor, press and hold
< Clear >.
To insert a space between characters, press [
].
To enter punctuation marks, press [ 1 ].

Send and view messages
Send a text message
1. In Idle mode, press < Menu > → Messages → Create new
message → Text message.
2. Enter the text message.
3. Press < Options > to select Send only or Save and send.
4. Enter the destination number.
5. Press < Options > → Send to send the message.
View text messages
1. In Idle mode, press < Menu > → Messages → My messages →
Inbox.
2. Select a text message to read.
Play music
1. In Idle mode, press < Menu > → Music.
2. Press [ OK ] to play music fi les.
3. During playback, use the following keys:

Pause or resume playback
[ left ]
Restart playback. Press to return to the
previous fi le within 3 seconds after the
playback has started. Press and hold to scan
backward in a fi le.
[ right ]
Skip to the next fi le. Press and hold to scan
forward in a fi le.
[ up ]
Open the playlist
4. Press [ down ] to stop playback.
Your phone displays the following status indicators on the top of the screen:

] in Idle mode to disable all sounds on the

phone. To exit, press and hold this key again.
Keypad
Press and hold [
] in Idle mode to lock the keypad to ignore

Press the Volume key four times when the keypad is locked to send
SOS mode
an SOS message to preset numbers. Once the SOS message is
sent, the phone will change to SOS mode and will receive calls only
from the registered recipients. Upon receiving a call from the SOS
message recipients, the phone will automatically answer the call.
Press [
] to exit SOS mode.
Use the camera
Capture photos
1. In Idle mode, press < Menu > → Camera.
2. Press <
> and [ left ] or [ right ] to select the desired camera
settings.
3. Press [ OK ] to take a photo. The photo is saved automatically.
4. Press < Back > to take another photo.
View a photo
1. In Idle mode, press < Menu > → My fi les → Images →
My photos.
2. Select the photo you want.

Turn your phone on and off
1. Press and hold [
] for more than two seconds to switch on the
phone.
2. To turn your phone off, press and hold [

Change the display language
1. In Idle mode, press < Menu > → Settings → Phone settings →
Language.
2. Select a language.
Make a call
1. In Idle mode, enter an area code and phone number, and press [
].
2. To end the call, press [
].
Capture videos
1. In Idle mode, press < Menu > → Camera.
2. Press <
> → Camcorder to switch to Camcorder mode.
3. Press <
> and [ left ] or [ right ] to select the desired video
settings.
4. Press [ OK ] to start recording.
5. Press <
> or [ OK ] to stop recording. The video is saved
automatically.
6. Press <
> to record another video.
View videos
1. In Idle mode, press < Menu > → My fi les → Videos →
My video clips.
2. Select the video you want.
You can also view your photos or video clips while using
the camera. In the Camera or Camcorder mode, press
<
> → Gallery → Photos or Video clips.
Answer a call
1. When the phone rings, press [
] to answer a call.
To reject the call, press < Reject > or [
].
2. To end the call, press [
].
Adjust the volume
1. In Idle mode, press < Menu > → Settings → Phone profi les.
2. Select the desired phone profi le and press < Options > → Edit.
3. Press [ left ] or [ right ] to select Phone sounds.
4. Press [ up ] or [ down ] up to select Phone sound volume.
5. Press [ OK ] and press [ left ] or [ right ] to adjust the volume.
6. Press < Save > to save.
Change a ringtone for calls
1. In Idle mode, press < Menu > → Settings → Phone profi les.
2. Select the desired phone profi le and press < Options > → Edit.
3. Press [ left ] or [ right ] to select Incoming calls.
4. Press [ up ] or [ down ] to select Voice call ringtone and
press [ OK ].
5. Press [ up ] or [ down ] to select a ring tone.
6. Press < Select > to save.
Call a recently dialled number
1. In Idle mode, press [
].
2. Press [ left ] or [ right ] to select a call type.
3. Press [ up ] or [ down ] to select the number or name.
4. Press [ OK ] to view details of the call or [
] to dial the number.
Listen to the FM radio
Listen to the FM radio
1. Plug the supplied headset to the phone.
2. In Idle mode, press < Menu > → FM radio.
3. Press [ left ] or [ right ] to fi nd available radio stations.
4. Press < Options > → FM radio on.
5. To turn the radio off, press [ OK ].
Store radio stations
By automatic tuning:
1. From the radio screen, press < Options > → FM radio on.
2. Press < Options > → Self-tuning.
Self-tuning is only activated after you perform the step 1.
3. Press < Yes > to confi rm. Available radio stations are automatically
saved.
4. Press and hold [ left ] or [ right ] to fi nd the saved radio stations.
By manual setup:
1. From the radio screen, press [ left ] or [ right ] to fi nd the radio
station you want.
2. Press < Options > and select Add to Favourites.
The volume through mono earphones is very low or
virtually inaudible. Use stereo earphones only.
