Since the play data of YMU762MA3 are inte rpre te d at anytime through FIFO,
the le ngth of the data(playing pe riod) is not limite d, s o the de vice can
fle xiblys upport applic ation s uc h as incoming c all me lody mus ic dis tribution
s e rvice . The hardware s e que nce r built in this de vic e allows playing of the
comple x mus ic without giving e x ce s s ive load to the CPU of the portable
te le phone s . More ove r, the re gis te rs of the FM s ynthe s ize r can be ope rate d
dire ctly for re al time s ound ge ne ration, allowing, for e xample , utilization of
various s ound e ffe cts whe n us ing the game s oftware ins talle d in the portable
te le phone .
YMU76 2 include s a s pe ake r amplifie r with high ripple re moval rate whos e
max imum output is 550mW (SPVDD=3.6V). The de vic e is als o e quippe d with
conve ntional function including a vibartor and a circuit for c ontrolling LEDs
s ynchornous with mus ic.

During wrting proce s s , CP_WEN is low and it e nable s writing proce s s to flas h
me mory and SCRAM. During re ading proc e s s , CP_OEN is low and it output
information which is locate d at the addre s s from the tride nt in the flas h
me mory or SCRAM to data line s . Each chip s e le ct s ignals in the tride nt s e le ct
me mory among 2 flas h me mory and SCRAM. Re ading or writing proc e dure is
proce s s e d afte r CP_WEN or CP_OEN is e nable d. Me morie s us e FLASH_RESET,
which is buffe re d s ignal of RESET from PSC2106, for ESD prote ction. A[ 0]
s ignal e nable s lowe r byte of SCRAM and UPPER_BYTE s ignal e nable s highe r
byte of SCRAM.
