    INSTALLATION AFTER MOVING THE SET If the used set is moved or placed in a different direction, the MAIN ON/OFF button must be switched off for at least 15 minutes in order to take out a colour strain on the screen. INSERTING BATTERIES INTO THE REMOTE CONTROL UNIT Press down the battery compartment grip and slide the cover.

    MAINS CONNECTION Plug the mains cable into the power socket with 240V ~, 50Hz. SWITCHING THE SET ON AND OFF Switching On Switch the set on with the MAIN ON/OFF button on the front of the television. The STAND-BY INDICATOR will turn on. And then, press : - CH UP or DOWN buttons on the front of the set - or ON/OFF button or the CH UP/DOWN buttons or one of the NUM- BER buttons 0..9 on the remote control unit.

    MANUAL CHANNEL SETTING Press the NUMBER buttons 0..9 or UP/DOWN buttons(CHV/W) to select the programme number you want. The screen will change according to the selected programme number. You can also call up Manual tune at the Install menu. SEARCHING A CHANNEL (figure 5) Move the cursor to Manual tune with the UP/DOWN buttons(CHV/W) Install and then press the LEFT/RIGHT buttons(VOLC/B).

    DAILY USE SELECTING A PROGRAMME NUMBER The set has a total of 100 programme numbers, 00..99. The NUMBER buttons 0..9 are used for direct programme selection. In order to select two-digit programmes, press the second numbered button within two seconds. Switch through the programme number one by one with the UP/DOWN buttons(CHV/W).

    TIMER In the MAIN MENU, Select TIMER menu. SETTING THE CLOCK Press the RIGHT button on the CLOCK line. Set the hours and minutes with the UP/DOWN buttons(CHV/W). The clock will start. Note that if you turn the TV off the with MAIN ON/OFF button or press the CYAN(mode) button, the clock setting is lost and must be reset if Menu necessary.

    MODE Pressing the MODE button on the remote control unit, the current atcive system of the set will be displayed on the screen. Whenever you press the MODE button, the system will be changed follows : AUTO SECAM *N4.43 *N3.58 (NTSC 4.43) (NTSC 3.58) From time to time an, abnormal system(NTSC 4.43 or PAL 60Hz) can not be operated in Auto mode.

    CONNECTING EXTERNAL EQUIPMENT EARPHONE JACK Insert the earphone plug (3.5mm o) into the earphone socket. The sound from the speaker will be cut off. FRONT/BACK AV JACK Connect the AV(AUDIO/VIDEO) JACK with an appreciate cable to the corresponding socket of the external equipment. Press the TV/VIDEO button on the remote control unit or on the front of the set.
  • Page 14 PAGE HOLD Several sub pages can be combined under a page number and are scrolled at an interval determined by the television station. The presence of sub pages is indicated by, for example, 3/6 beneath the time, which means that you are looking at the 3rd page of a total of 6 pages.
