Infrared Thermometer. Your Thermometer is an example of

thermometer will measure surface temperatures of foods

    General Operation To Take a Surface Temperature Reading 1. Point the Sensor Lens toward the target to be measured. 2. Press “Read” button. The infrared (" ") icon will flash, and then the “HOLD” icon will appear, indicating that the surface temperature reading is on the screen.
  • Page 4 Minimum/Maximum Mode Function The thermometer can report minimum and maximum temperature readings. To use the Minimum temperature function: 1. Press “Read” button. 2. To activate Min Mode, press the “Mode” button once. The “MIN” icon will flash. Press “Read” again to confirm and select Minimum mode.

    Lock Mode The Lock mode is a convenient feature for continuous monitoring of temperatures. When Lock mode is active, the thermometer will continuously report temperature readings for up to 60 minutes. To activate Lock Mode: 1. Press “Read” button. 2. Press “Mode” button 3 times, until the “LOCK” icon flashes in the center of the screen.

    Stop Watch Operation Your Taylor® thermometer is equipped with a stop watch feature. The stop watch will count up to 59 minutes and 59 seconds, before starting over again at 0. To set the stop watch: 1. Press “Read” button.

    Battery Replacement 1. The thermometer operates on one CR 2032 lithium battery. 2. To access the battery compartment, loosen and remove the screw attaching the pocket clip to the thermometer. Gently pull the clip off the thermometer, exposing the battery cover. 3.

    Emissivity This infrared thermometer is set at a default emissivity of 0.95, which appears on screen as “95E” between the F/C and Clock Setting modes. Emissivity refers to the relative power of a particular surface to emit heat by radiation. The default emissivity setting of 0.95 is appropriate for general household use.

DO NOT immerse unit in water, as doing so will cause damage to internal components and void the warranty. If you spill liquid on it, dry it immediately with a soft, lint- free cloth.
