    etting the time of day After setting your oven for manual operation, you should also set the e of day. o After pressing the manual operation button (4), use the minus button (5) and plus button (6) to adjust the time that appears in the display.

    etting the minute minder function You are able to set the minute minder at any time, regardless of whether an oven function has been selected. You can set a period of time using the minute minder fu nction and an alarm will sound when hat peri od of time has elapsed.
  • Page 15 o It is then po ssible to set the duration of the cooking time that you require. o Press the duration button (2) and the display will show a value of 00:00. Set the period of time that you wish the duration function to countdown for, by using the minus (5) and plus (6) buttons.

    Setting the start and end time function (main oven only) This function will allow you to set a time in the future that the oven switches on at and a time that the oven will switch off at. Use the main oven control knob to select the mode of cooking that you require.

    o You will need to return the oven to manual operation mode, once the start and end t ime function has been used. To do this you should press the manual operation button, the auto function symbol will disappear from the display and the manual operation symbol will appear instead.

    Selecting a cooking function and temperature After your appliance is connected to your mains supply for the irst time, the numbers on the timer display will flash. Before you select a cooking function you should set the time of day (see pages 12-13 for how to do this).

    Using the top oven o The control knob should be turned clockwise used select conventional oven function temperature that you requ o You should continue turning the control knob clockwise to select the lower element, top element and grill function. These functions are static therefore the temperature cannot be adjusted.

    Temperature indicator lights hese lights will come on to indicate that the heating elements are in operation. The relevant light, displayed above the control knobs, will switch off when the temperature set on the thermostat control knob has be en reached. It will cycle on and off throughout the cooking time. You sho uld not place food inside the cavity, until the correct cooking temperature has been reached.

    o The grill heating element becomes extremely hot during operation, avoid touching it inadvertently when handling the food which you are grilling. o The tray handle should only be used to reposition the drip tra y and NOT for removing it from the oven cavity.

    Residual heat indicator o After a zone is switched off, the corresponding cooking zone indicator will show a flashing letter “H”. This means that the temperature of the zone is over 60°C and is therefore high enough to cause injury. IMPORTANT: The residual heat indicator will disappear if your mains supply is cut.

    ving the oven door for cleaning o facilitate the cleaning of the inside of the cooker and the outer frame of the oven, the door can be removed as follows:- o The hinges (A) have two movable bolts on them (B). o If you raise both of the movable bolts (B), then the hinges (A) are released from the oven housing.

    Install tion The installation must be carried out by a suitably qualified person, in accordance with the current version of the following. o UK Regulations and Safety Standards or their European Norm Replacements. o Building Regulations (issued by the Department of the Environment).

    o The cooker is fitted with four feet that can be adjusted to match height your kitchen cabinets. o If the cooker is not level or is unstable due to an uneven floor surface, use the adjustable feet to alter each corner until the cooker is level.

    Securing the safety chains o Before securing the safety chains, check that you have completed the installation process and that all connections have been made successfully and that the cooker is in its final operating position. o To fix the security chains to their anchor brackets: Unscrew the hex nut at the unattached end of the safety chain.

    Electrical connection This appliance must be installed by a qualified person in accordance with the latest edition of the I.E.E. Regulations and in compliance with Baumatic’s instructions. Before connecting the appliance, make sure that the supply voltage marked on the rating plate corresponds with your mains supply voltage.

    o Release the cover plate by removing the cover screw. o Loosen the cable clamp. o Feed the mains connection cable through the grommet in the back panel and cable clamp. Connect the mains supply cable to the terminal block on the cooker using the colour code on the previous page.
