Frequency of cleanings depends on water conditions. Either hard or soft water can be used in the humidifier, but hard water mineral deposits are more difficult to clean then soft water deposits.

After winter startup or servicing, use the following steps to check the humidifier operation. Turn off the humidifier water supply and the humidity control while on vacation. When you return, turn on the humidifier water supply and reset the humidity control to restart the humidifier.
