Care and cleaning of the air conditioner.
Grille and Case
Turn the air conditioner
off and remove the plug
To clean, use water and a mild detergent.
Do not
from the wall outlet before cleaning,
use bleach or abrasives.
Outdoor Coils
"lhe coils on the outdoor side of the air conditioner
should be checked regadarly. If they are dogged
with dirt or soot daey may- be professionally steam
cleaned, a service available through your GE
sel_ice outlet.
AirFilter
The air filter behind the front _ille should be
checked and cleaned at least every 30 (lays o1" more
often if necessaly.
Clean Ihe filter with walrn, soapy water. Rinse and
let the filter dry before
replacing
it.
CAUTION: D ONOToperate theair conditioner w ithout
a filter because dirt andlint will clogit andreduce
performance.
TO remove(onsomemodels):

the inlet grille upward by pulling out the
bottom of the inlet grille.

Using the lab, pull up slightly- on the filter to
release it and pull it down,
TOremove (on some models):

Grabthe tabs on
the filter andpull
it up and out.
Grabthe tabon the filter
and pull it to the right.
