Shuttle Ring Operation
1.
Press PAUSE for playback STILL mode.
2, Press and hold JOG SH. for special video effects.
3. Rotate shuttle ring toward FWD to advance the tape, or
toward REV to reverse the tape. How far you rotate and
hold the shuttle ring determines the speed at which the
tape moves.
4. Release the shuttle ring to return to STILL mode.
5. Release JOG SH. to exit special video effects.
6. Press PLAY to return to normal playback speed.
NOTES:
1. Shuttle ring may also be operated while in PLAY mode
instead of in STILL mode. In that case, you will return
to PLAY mode at normal playback speed when the
Shuttle Ring is released.
2. Some of the speeds given in the pictorial above are not
indicated in the VCR Status Display shown on the TV.
3. Some video "noise" may be present in REV (Reverse)
mode.
4. Tapes recorded at SP (Standard Play) speed have better
quality special effects than tapes recorded at EP (Extended
Play) speed.
5. You can push the JOG SH. momentarily to get a few
seconds o{ operation with special video effects, if continu-
ous operation is not needed.

Jog Wheel Operation
1.
Press PAUSE for playback STILL mode.
2. Press and hold JOG SH. for special video effects.
3. Move jog wheel with finger toward FWD to advance
tape frame-by-frame, or toward REV to reverse tape
frame-by-frame. Movement of the jog wheel one
"click" moves the tape by one frame. How "fast" you
move the jog wheel determines how fast the frame-by-
frame movement occurs.

4. Release JOG SH. to exit special video effects.
5. Press PLAY to return to normal playback speed.
NOTES:
1. Jog wheel cannot be used for special video effects while
the VCR is in play mode.
2. Tapes recorded at SP (Standard Play) speed have better
quality special effects than tapes recorded at EP (Extended
Play) speed.
3. You can push the JOG SI-I. momentarily to get a few
seconds of operation with special video effects, if continu-
ous operation is not needed.
