Solution
Check power cord for a secureconnection,
Unplug the unit for a moment, and then
plug into power sourceagain.
Checkthe outlet by plugging in another

Switch to anotherfunction (TAPE, RADIO)
andthen back to CD,
increasethe volume setting.
Checkconnection to speakers.
Check that you have selectedthe appropri-
ate function: CD, TAPE,RADIO,AUX.
Check antenna connection.
Move antenna.
Turnoff nearby electrical appliances,such
as hair dryer,vacuumcleaner,microwave,
fluorescent lights.
Checkthat CD is in the tray.
Checkthat CD label isfacing up.
Checkthat PAUSEmode isnot on.
Check that CD function isselected.
Clean the disc.
Check discfor warping, scratches, o r other
damage.
Check if something iscausingthe systemto
vibrate. If so, move the system.
Inspectthe tape headsand clean and
demagnetize.
Checkthat the batteries are properly
installed.
Replaceweak battedes.
Check the systemisplugged in to power
source.
Point the remote directly at the system's
front panel.
Move closerto the system.
Remove any obstaclesbetween the remote
and the system.
