The following warnings are displayed in the LCD monitor:

Lowbattery. Charge the battery ( 1I) or inserta fully-chargedsparebattery (6).
Batteryexhausted.Chargethe battery ( 1I) or insert afully-charged spam battery (6).
Slowshutter speed. Pictures may be blurred;usethe flashor a tripod.
Thecameracannot focus.Tryoneof the following solutions:
Usefocus lockto focuson another subjectat the samedistance,then recompose the picture
(_ 26).
Usemacromodeto focuswhen taking close-ups(29).
Thesubjectistoo bright ortoo darkandthe picturewill beover-or under-exposed.If the subject
is dark, usethe flash(30).
Camera malfunctionor movingparts of lensobstructed.Turnthe cameraoffand then on again,
taking carenot to touchthe lens. If the message persists, c ontacta FUJIFILM dealer.
Thememory card is not formatted or was formatted in a computer or other device:
Formatthememorycardusingthe m_ FORMAToption inthecamera setupmenu (76).
CARDNOT INITIALIZED Thememory cardcontactsrequire cleaning: Clean the contactswith a soft, dry cloth. If
the message is repeated, f ormat the card(_ 76). If the message persists, r eplacethe card.
Cameramalfunction: Contacta FUJIFILM dealer.
PROTECTED CARD Thememorycardis locked. Unlockthe card(7).
BUSY Thememorycardis incorrectlyformatted. Usethe camerato format the card(76).
