The following warnings are displayed in the LCD monitor:

Batteriesarelow. Insertfresh or fully-chargedsparebatteries(6).
Batteriesareexhausted.Insert freshor fully-chargedsparebatteries(6).
Slowshutter speed. Pictures may be blurred;usethe flashor a tripod.
Thecameracannot focus.Tryoneof the following solutions:
Usefocus lockto focuson another subjectat the samedistance,then recompose the picture
(_ 24).
Usemacromodeto focuswhen taking close-ups(27).
Thesubjectistoo bright ortoo darkandthe picturewill beover-or under-exposed.If the subject
is dark, usethe flash(28).
Camera malfunctionor movingparts of lensobstructed.Turnthe cameraoffand then on again,
taking carenot to touchthe lens. If the message persists, c ontacta FUJIFILM dealer.
Thememory card is not formatted or was formatted in a computer or other device:
Formatthe memorycardusingthe [] FORMAT option inthe camerasetupmenu (67).
CARDNOT INITIALIZED The memory card contacts require cleaning: Clean the contactswith a soft, dry cloth. If
the message is repeated, f ormat the card(_ 67). If the message persists, r eplacethe card.
Cameramalfunction: Contacta FUJIFILM dealer.
PROTECTED CARD Thememorycardis locked. Unlockthe card(7).
