Water Filter Cartridge
The water filter c;u_fidge is located in the
back upper fight corner of the refi'igerator
COl//pll 1"_1//ellt.
When to Replace the Filter
There is a replarement indicator
light tbr tile water filter ca_qh-idge on the
temperature display. This light will turn
(mmge to tell you that you
need
to replace
the filter soon. The filter cam-idge should
be replaced when the replacement
indicator light ttlrns red or if tile flow
of water to tile dispenser or icemaker
decreases.
Installing the Filter Cartridge
0 If you are replacing the cartridge,
first rem_we tile old one. Open the
cariridge cover by pressing ill on tile
tab at tile fi'ont and pulling down.
0 Remove tile cartridge b} sloxd} rotadng
it counter clocBvise. A small amount of
water may drip down.
CAUTION: been

it/s removed. U secautionwhenremoving
0 Remo_e the protecti_ e foil from tile
end of tile camJdge.
I,ining up tile arrow on tile calqhidge
and the ca_qtfidge holder; slowly rotate
the cartridge clockwise until it stops.
\_l_en tile ca_fidge is properly
installed, yon will ieel it "click" as it
locks into place. The grip on the end
ot tile cartridge sb.ould be positioned
_w_icallv.
Do notovertighten.
0 (lose tile camidge co\w:
0 I_,tm water fi'om tile dispenser for
3 minutes (about l/2 gallons) to clear
the system and pre\vnt sputtering.

Press and hokl the
RESET WATER FILTER

A newly-installed water filter cartridge
may cause water to spurt ti'om tile dispense_:
Filter Bypass Plug
_i_u must use tile filter b}pass plug when a
replacement filter camJdge is not available.
Tile icemaker will not operate without tile
filter or filter b}])ass plug.
