• Carburetor out of
adjustment.
• Engine valves out of
adjustment.
• Worn, bent or loose
blade.
• Bent blade mandrel.
• Loose/damaged part(s).
• Faulty operator-safety
presence control
system.
• Worn, bent or loose
blade.
• Mower deck not level.
• Buildup of grass,
leaves, andtrash
under mower.
• Bent blade mandrel.
• Clogged mower deck
ventholes from buildup
of grass, leaves, and
trash around mandrels.

Set in "Higher
Cut" position/
reduce speed.
Adjust throttle
control.
• Clean underside
of mower
housing.
!. Clean/replace
air filter.
• Check
oil level/change
oil.
• Clean and regap or change
spark plug.
• Replace
fuel filter.
• Drain fuel tank and refill
with
fresh gasoline.
• Drain fuel tank and carbure
tor, refill tank with fresh
gasoline
and replace
fuel
filter.
• Connect
and tighten
spark
plug wire.
• Clean
engine air screen/fins.
• Clean/replace
muffler.
• Check all wiring.
• See "To Adjust Carburetor"
in Service Adjustments
section.
• Contact
an authorized
service center/department.
• Replace blade. Tighten
blade bolt.
• Replace blade mandrel.
• Tighten loose part(s).
Replace damaged parts.
• Check wiring, switches
and
connections.
If not corrected,
contact an authorized
service
center/department.
• Replace
blade.
Tighten
blade bolt.
• Level mower deck.
• Clean underside of mower
housing.
• Replace
blade mandrel.
• Clean around mandrels
to
open vent holes.
