installed onto power cord. If the smfin relief is
not attached, the cord can be pulled out of the
(hyer and can be cut by any m_)vement of the
cord, resulting in elecuical shock,

have longer (hying times than those operating
on 240-voh power supply.

Grounding Requirements

properly grounded.

For a grounded, cord-connected electric dryer:

For a permanently-connected electric dryer:

grounding conductor must be run with the drcuit
conductors and connected to the equipment-

Fora cord-connected gasdryer:

shock hazard and should be plugged directly into
a properly grounded three-prong receptacle. Do
not cut or rem_)ve the grounding prong fiom this
plug.
