This level of setup must be performed anytime a PC is configured from scratch. The following subsections describe the requirements for setting up disk partitions and configuring certain CMOS setup options.

See the README.TXT file on Disk 1 of the System Recovery CD for specific instructions on performing a factory installation of Windows 2000.

The Web Server is used by the client application to access online help files, and the FTP Server is used by the client application to move files back and forth between the client and server as necessary.

When prompted with “Insert Service Pack Files into the drive selected below”, enter “c:\i386” in the edit box, then click the OK button. Web Server Configuration The Web Server is used to download and install the EFCM client application to remote workstations, and to provide access to online help information from the EFCM application once installed.

Insert the HP EFC Management Applications CD into the CD-ROM drive, and run the installation program named d:\hpServerInstall.exe.
