• The closest distance at which the camera carl focus varies
depending
on the zoom position. When the zoom is at a position where _ and the
zoom indicator glow green (to the left of fN),
the camera can focus on subjects as close
as 2 cm (0.8 in.) from the lens.
At the maximum wide-angEe position, the camera can focus on subjects as close as 1 cm
(0.4 in.) from the lens.
• AF area mode is set to Manual and the focus area in which the camera focuses can be
selected ([_
50). Press the _) button and then move the focus area by rotating the
rotary mufti selector or by pressing A, V, _1, or i_. Press the _) button again to lock the
selected focus area. Flash mode and exposure compensation
settings can be adjusted
and the self-timer can be enabled while the focus area is locked.
• The camera focuses continuously
until the shutter-release button
is pressed halfway to
lock the focus.
• As images are easily affected by camera shake, be sure that Vibration
reduction
