Alarms
The following alarm notification methods have been added in Fabric OS version 3.0.1b:
•
Email Alert - Sends alarms to pre-configured Email addresses.
•
Remote Agent Notification (RAN) - Sends alarms to remote applications using Fabric
Access.

Zoning

The following features have been added to Zoning in Fabric OS version 3.0.1b:
•
WWN Zoning can now be enforced through the hardware.
•
Zoning hardware enforcement can now be implemented on a zone by zone basis at the
port level.

Management Server

Management Server now uses Topology Discovery during the fabric topology discovery process.
The process involves two standards: FC-FS and FC-GS3.
•
RTIN/RNID queries from FC-FS: Request Node Identification Data and Request
Topology Information are now supported.
•
GATIN/GNID/GTIN from FC-GS3: Get Attributes of Topology Information/Get Node
Identification Data/ Get Topology Information are now supported.

Web Tools

The following views, tabs, and features have been added or modified in Web Tools v3.0:
Zone Admin View
Zoning Configuration Analyze Screen: The new Zoning Configuration Analyze screen, available
from the Zone Admin View, displays a summary of the saved configuration and attempts to point
out some of the zoning conflicts before applying the changes to the switch. For more information,
refer to the Web Tools User's Guide.
Admin View
Network Configuration Tab: The new Network Configuration tab, available from the Admin
View, can be used to manage the IP networking functionality of the switch. For more information,
refer to the Web Tools User's Guide.
Port Settings Tab: The new Port Settings tab, available from the Admin View, can be used to
disable and enable ports on a switch. The Port Settings tab is also used to set port speed to 1 GB/2
GB/Autosense as well as disable and enable the Trunking feature. For more information, refer to
the Web Tools User's Guide.
