• Engine valves out of
adjustment.
• Worn, bent or loose
blade.
• Bent blade mandrel.
• Loose/damaged
part(s).
Faulty operator-safety
presence control

• Worn, bent or loose
blade.
• Mower deck not level.
• Buildup
of grass,

and trash
under mower.

CORRECTION
• Check art wir)ng,
• Check/replace
solenoid
or
starter.
• Set in "Higher Cut" position/
reduce speed.
• Adjust throttle
control.
• Clean underside
of mower
housing.
Clean/replace
air filter.
Check
oil level/change
oil.
Clean and regap or change
spark plug
• Replace fuel filter.
• Drain fuel tank and refill
with fresh gasoline.
• Drain fuel tank and carbure
tor, refill tank with fresh
gasoline
and replace
fuel
filter.
• Connect
and tighten spark
plug wire.
Clean engine air screen/fins.
• Clean/replace
muffler.
• Check
all v,; !ng.
• See "To Adjust Carburetor"
in Service Adjustments
section.
• Contact
an authorized
service
center/department.
• Replace
blade. Tighten
blade bolt.
• Replace
blade mandrel.
• Tighten loose part(s).
