Playing a VCD with PBC
When you load a VCD with PBC (Playback Control) in the
disk compa_ament, the PBC indicator appears on the display'.
The PBC provides a play sequence predefined for the VCD.
1 Switch on the TV, then load a VCD with PBC.
A menu appears on the TV screen.
• If the menu consists of a list of titles, you cm_select the
desii:ed title dii:ectly.
2 Press the number buttons on
the remote control to make
selection.
The VCD stm_s playing the selected
menu item automatically'.

page, press _ or _ to go through
the pages.

Press o_"O RETURN on the remote control.

Press PBC on the remote control.
Alternatively, pi:ess II.
"PBC OFF" appears briefly on the TV screen

• The PBC function is automatically switched off when you
activate the shuffle play or VIEW function, or program
tracks.
VariousVCDOperations
PAUSE
During playback, press I_/ll to have a still picture
on the TV screen.
The sound will be muted.
"PAUSE" appears briefly on the TV screen.
To continue playback, press I_/11 again.
GOTO
This function allows you to staz_ playback at the desired time
point on the disc.
• To use the GO TO function, you need to switch off PBC
beforehand.
• There is a time limit in doing the following steps. If the
setting is canceled before you finish, stmX fl'om step 1
again.

1 Press GO TO on the remote control.
"GO - -:- -" appears on the display'.
2 Press the number buttons on the remote control to enter
the disc time at which to begin playback.
• The disc time entei:ed should not be gi:eatei: than the total
disc time.
SLOW
SLOW
Press SLOW on the remote control repeatedly to
watch a VCD at a slower speed.
With each press, the playback speed changes as
follows:
• The sound is muted.
To resume playback at normal speed, press I_/11.
Alternatively, press SLOW repeatedly until "PLAY" appears
o12the TV screen.
The menu structure depends on the program stored on the
VCD. Refer to the infoirnation supplied with the disc.
