Commonly Used Shooting Functions
1. Use the 4- or 4, button to select
[Standard].
2. Press the _ button.
3 Press th; zoom iever toward E+3 and shoot.
• The combined digital and optical
zoom setting will display in the LCD
monitor.
• The image may appear coarse
depending upon the selected
recording pixels (the zoom factor
appear in blue).
• Press the zoom lever toward [] to .....
zoom out.
Safety Zoom Zone
This camera is equipped with a Safety Zoom feature that shifts from
optical zoom to digital zoom without pausing until image quality is lost
at any given recording pixel setting. The ED icon will display at the
maximum zoom setting before image quality is lost and you can
advance the zoom further by pressing the zoom lever toward the E_
icon again. The Safety Zoom zone changes according to the selected
recording pixel setting as shown below.
