Click the Motion Detection button on the left side of the Setup screen to enable the motion detection function of
the DCS-5220 Internet Camera.

Check this option to turn on motion
detection.
Adds new windows that monitor a
specific area of the image window. Up
to 3 motion detection windows can be
added.
Saves the new windows settings.
The name of the motion detection
window.
Adjusting the sensitivity allows you to
set the amount of motion required to
trigger motion detection. If you want
to detect most or all movement, use a
high sensitivity. If you want to ignore
smaller amounts of movement, use a
low sensitivity.
Adjusting the percentage allows you
to set a requirement on how much of the motion window must be filled by movement. Example:
If you set this to 50%, then the selected window must be half filled by a moving object before it
triggers motion detection.
