Possible cause
Your computer doesn't
have enough memory
to handle the data in
the file you are
printing.
A print job is stalled.
The printer sounds as though it is printing, but nothing prints
Possible cause
The print head
nozzles are clogged.
One or both of the ink
cartridges are too old.

paper out light is flashing or on
Possible cause
If flashing, paper is
jammed.
If on, paper is used up
or loaded incorrectly.
Troubleshooting
Solution
Try one of the following:
Reduce the resolution of your image.
Select fewer colors or a lower resolution for your monitor.
Add more memory to your computer.
Delete the stalled print job(s) in Spool Manager; see
Print Job
for instructions.
Solution
Clean the print head nozzles; see
instructions. If this does not work after two or three times, see below.
Try cleaning the print head. If that doesn't work, replace the ink
cartridges as described in
Solution
Remove the paper and follow the guidelines for preventing jams in
Paper
Problems.
Load paper or remove the stack and reload it as described in the Printer
Basics guide or
Media Loading and Handling

load/eject button to turn off the light and resume printing.
