To connect to a new wireless network:
1. Right-clicktheWindows XP Wireless Zero Configurationiconinyour
computer'ssystemtray,thenclickView Available Wireless Networks.A
windowdisplaystheavailablewirelessnetworks.
2. Selectthenetworkthatyouwant,thenclickConnect.
Ifthenetworkuseswirelesssecurity,gotoStep4.Otherwise,continue
toStep3.
3. Click Connect Anyway to connect the adapter to your unsecured
network,thengotoStep5.
WirelessNetworkConfiguration:WindowsXP
4. If your network usesWired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) wireless security,
entertheWEPKeyintheNetwork keyandConfirm networkkeyfields.If
yournetworkusesWi-FiProtectedAccess(WPA/WPA2)wirelesssecurity,
enterthepassphraseintheNetwork keyandConfirm networkkeyfields.
ClickConnect.
Note
WindowsXPWirelessZeroConfigurationdoesnotsupporttheuse
ofaWEPpassphrase.EntertheexactWEPkeyusedbyyourwireless
routeroraccesspoint.
