    Insert a pre-recorded tape into your VCR and begin playback of your equipment. This ensures that your VCR is tuned in during the autotune procedure. To make your programme tuning easier, HITACHI have installed an automatic tuning procedure to find the services in your area.

    Press the cursor DOWN button to select INSTALLATION. Once highlighted, accept selection. Next, the country screen requires you to select the country in which you will be watching your TV.     camcorder Connecting a camcorder to your TV is easy. First, identify the type of camcorder and its connecting sockets. If it is a standard 8mm type camera then this is likely to have 'RCA' type sockets. If you have a S-VHS or Hi8 camera you may have a S- VHS socket.

For example, if you have a DVD player connected, you can allocate the name ‘DVD’ to the programme number allocated for that piece of external equipment.

    For picture and sound values, moving the cursor left will decrease values, whilst moving the cursor right will increase values. Also note that in the COLOUR adjustment the first two steps of the control bar will have a dramatic effect. This is normal operation. Press the MENU button to obtain MAIN MENU.
