10 Connect the data and power cables to the rear of the device. (The
connectors are shaped to go in one way only.)

11 If you are installing a SCSI device, pass the SCSI cable through the
base of the SCSI holder. You will need to remove then replace the
SCSI holder to do this.
12 Slide the power supply back into position, and tighten the four self-
retaining screws (see page 6).
13 Replace the HP UltraFlow airflow guide and reconnect the fan to the
system board (see the illustration on page 5).
14 Install any other accessories before replacing the cover and
completing the installation.
15 Follow the instructions below to complete the installation.

Completing the Installation of a Hard Disk Drive

1 Switch on the computer.
2 To ensure compatibility, use the FDISK utility to delete any
partitions on the new hard disk.
3 Re-boot the computer.
Refer to the operating system documentation for information on
formatting a drive.
