Environmental Information Packaging All transit packaging materials are environmentally compatible and can be reused. Wood is un-treated. The plastics can be recycled and are identified as follows: >PE< for polyethylene, e.g. the outer covering and the bags in the inte- rior.
0 In order to push the appliance into its final position, press carefully at the top of the door and tip the appliance back slightly. The weight is thus transferred to the back casters and the appliance can be easily pushed.
Remove the transport fittings from the storage shelves: 0 Slide the fittings securing the shelf forward to the thicker section on the edge of the storage shelf. 0 Slide the storage shelf far enough forward so that it can be hinged downwards and the fittings can be removed from the guides.

Installation Electrical Connection Any electrical work required to install this appliance should be carried out by a qualified electrician or competent person. Reversing The Door The door hinges can be changed from right (as supplied) to left if requi- red to suit the location where the appliance is installed. Warning! Unplug from the mains, before reversing the door. 0 Open the freezer compartment door and remove the plinth to the front.

Changing Over The Door Hinges 0 Move the bearing pivot from the right to the left hand hole. Remove the freezer compartment door carefully to the front and place on one side. 0 Unscrew the centre door bearing. 0 Remove the fridge compartment door carefully to the front and place on one side.

(ACTUAL temperature). Temperature Displays • In normal operation the refrigerator or freezer compartment tempe- rature is displayed (ACTUAL temperature). The temperature regulator must be in its recessed position. • During temperature adjustment, the temperature selected will flash in the display (SET temperature).
• When the FAST CHILL function is switched on (see also section: "Fast Chill/Fast Freeze"), "IC" is displayed in the temperature display. As long as the FAST CHILL function is switched on, no refrigerator tem- perature is indicated in the temperature display.
Once the self-test rou- tine is complete, the compressor starts and functions automatically thereafter. 0 Set the refrigerator to the desired temperature (see section: "Tempera- ture Adjustment"). Goods to be refrigerated can be loaded immediately after switching on, because the storage temperature in the refrigerator is quickly reached.
Temperature Adjustment With the individual temperature regulators the desired temperatures in the refrigerator and in the freezer compartment can be adjusted inde- pendently of one another. 0 Press desired temperature regulator, so that it pops out of its recessed position. The temperature display will flash the selected temperature.
FAST CHILL The FAST CHILL function is suited for quick cooling of large quantities of goods in the refrigerator, e.g. drinks and salads for a party. 0 To switch on the FAST CHILL function first press the temperature regu- lator for the refrigerator. The temperature regulator pops out of its recessed position.
In order to protect frozen goods, the appliance is guarded against acci- dental switching off (child-proof). Refrigerator and freezer compartments can be switched off independ- ently of one another. 0 To switch off press and hold the ON/OFF button for about 5 seconds. A so-called "count down"...
0 Turn temperature regulator anticlockwise as far as possible. Indicated temperature in the temperature display is increased in 1° increments up to +10°C. The +10°C value is followed by +15°C. The refrigerator is now in the energy saving stand-by mode.

Maintenance and Cleaning Replace light bulb For safety reasons the interior lighting switches off after 10 minutes when the door is open. It switches on again the next time the door is opened. Warning! Danger of electrical shock! Before replacing the light bulb switch off the appliance and remove the mains plug.

Technical Terminology • Refrigerant Liquids that can be used to a generate a cooling effect are known as refrigerants. They have a relatively low boiling-point, indeed so low, that the warmth from the food stored in the fridge or freezer can cause the refrigerant to boil and vaporise.
Guarantee Conditions AEG offer the following guarantee to the first purchaser of this appliance. 1. The guarantee is valid for 12 months commencing when the appliance is handed over to the first retail purchaser, which must be verified by purchase invoice or similar docu- mentation.
