Jot Tutorial

The best way to learn about using Jot 2.0 is to walk through the Jot tutorial. Jot 2.0
provides an animated tutorial with detailed demonstrations of character shapes and
placement. To open the Jot tutorial, click on Start/Programs, then select Jot/Jot
Tutorial.

Jot Trainer

You can customize Jot to suit your writing style by enabling character shapes that
you use. To start the Trainer, click Start/Programs, then select Jot/Jot Trainer.

CIC Handwriter

CIC Handwriter is a full context-sensitive word recognizer. Handwriter allows you
to write whole words or sentences before recognition. The recognizer includes almost
all types of character shapes.

Using the Online Help

Open the online help by tapping the ? button in Recognizer Properties (Recognizer
Properties can be opened from the Control Panel window or by double-tapping the
pen icon in the System Tray).

Getting to Know Handwriter

To use the pen for pointing instead of writing, tap the pen icon in the System Tray.
The pen icon changes depending on whether writing or mouse mode is active. When
the pen is active only for pointing, the pen icon changes to an arrow.
Clicking
You can "click" with the pen, just as you would with a mouse.
• Tapping the tip of the pen on the tablet is the same as clicking the left mouse
button.
• Double-tapping the pen's tip is the same as double-clicking the left mouse button.
Writing
Before writing with the pen, first verify that the Pen icon on the Taskbar has been
selected. Then follow these steps:
