Watching Netflix
If you have a Netflix account and your NOOK is connected to a Wi-Fi network, you can watch streaming movies and
TV shows through the Netflix app on your NOOK.
To launch the app, open the Apps screen and tap the Netflix icon.
When the Netflix app launches, it presents a login screen. If you already have a Netflix account, log in with your email
address and password. If you do not yet have a Netflix account, tap the netflix.com link to visit the Netflix Web site
and set up an account. The Netflix Web site describes the types of accounts that are available.
Once you have logged in to your Netflix account on the Netflix app, you'll be able to browse the Netflix catalog for
movies and TV shows viewable on your NOOK. You can add movies and shows to your Netflix queue and re-order
the queue as you like. Tap the play icon (a white triangle) on a movie or TV show to start watching it.
Netflix displays movies and TV shows in landscape mode.
To pause a movie or show and return to the Netflix catalog, tap the NOOK button.
Watching Hulu Plus
You can also watch streaming TV shows and movies through Hulu Plus. You must have a Hulu Plus account, and your
NOOK must be connected to a Wi-Fi network.
To launch the app, open the Apps screen and tap the Hulu Plus icon.
When the Hulu Plus app launches, it presents a login screen. If you already have a Hulu Plus account, tap the Log In
button and log in with your email address and password. If you do not have a Hulu Plus account, tap the Learn More
button to visit the hulu.com Web site and set up an account.
Once you have logged in to the Hulu Plus app, you'll be able to browse the Hulu Plus catalog for movies and TV
shows that you can watch your NOOK. To watch a movie or show, tap the photo next to its title.
To add an item to your queue or read background information, tap the arrow icon next to the item and in the pop-up
menu tap Queue.
To learn more about an item, tap the arrow icon and in the pop-up menu tap the Video icon.
Hulu Plus displays movies and TV shows in landscape mode.
To pause a movie or show and return to the Hulu Plus catalog, tap the NOOK button.
Playing Videos
To play a video file you have transferred onto your NOOK, do this:
1.
In the Library, tap the My Stuff icon in the Media Bar.
2.
In the My Stuff menu, tap My Files.
3.
Tap the My Files folder, and find the Videos folder.
4.
Tap on the Videos folder to open it. Then tap on the video you want to play.
