    If your operating system begins to load before you press <F2>, allow the system to finish booting, and then restart your system and try again. Responding To Error Messages If an error message is displayed while the system is booting, make a note of the message. For more information, see System Error Messages.

    System And Setup Password Features You can create a system password and a setup password to secure your system.     The system contains 24 memory sockets split into two sets of 12 sockets, one set per processor. Each 12-socket set is organized into four channels. In each channel, the release levers of the first socket are marked white, the second socket black, and the third socket green.

    NOTE: x4 and x8 DRAM based DIMMs can be mixed providing support for RAS features.     14. Run the appropriate diagnostic test. For more information, see Using System Diagnostics. Hard Drives All hard drives connect to the system board through the hard-drive backplane. Hard drives are supplied in hot- swappable hard-drive carriers that fit in the hard-drive slots. CAUTION: Before attempting to remove or install a hard drive while the system is running, see the documentation for the storage controller card to ensure that the host adapter is configured correctly to support hot-swap hard drive removal and insertion.
