Issue (Internal):
When the HP postscript level 3 emulation driver is used with Adobe Photoshop, page scaling does
not function.
Description:
The Adobe Photoshop software generates its own postscript.
Solution 1:
Use the following procedure to disable Postscript Passthrough and print the document again.
1. Click the Device Settings tab in the print-driver Properties.
2. In Installable Options, select Disabled for the Postscript Passthrough: option.
Solution 2:
Use the HP PCL 5 driver or the HP PCL 6 driver.
Issue (Internal):
When the HP postscript level 3 emulation driver is used with Adobe Acrobat Reader, the mirror image
option is not working correctly.
Description:
The Adobe Acrobat Reader software generates its own postscript.
Solution 1:
Use the following procedure to disable Postscript Passthrough and print the document again.
1. Click the Device Settings tab in the print-driver Properties.
2. In Installable Options, select Disabled for the Postscript Passthrough: option.
Solution 2:
Use the HP PCL 5 driver or the HP PCL 6 driver.
Issue (Internal):
When the HP postscript level 3 emulation driver is used with Microsoft PowerPoint, the A5-sized print
job is not scaled as expected for the Envelope DL size.
Description:
The Microsoft PowerPoint software generates its own postscript.
Solution 1:
Use the following procedure to disable Postscript Passthrough and print the document again.
1. Click the Device Settings tab in the print-driver Properties.
2. In Installable Options, select Disabled for the Postscript Passthrough: option.
