After upgrading from Windows 95 or Windows 98, a Wireless connection
cannot be established using the IBM Infrared device.
The "Client for Microsoft Networks" component is not installed.
To create a Wireless connection using the IBM Infrared device under
Windows 2000, the "Client for Microsoft Networks" component must be
installed. To install this component on your computer, follow these
instructions provide below:
1.
Start your computer and logon to Windows 2000 Professional
with an Administrator user account.

Click: Start
3.
Double-click the Network and Dialup Connections applet.
After the "Network and Dialup Connections" window opens,
double-click the Local Area Connection icon.
4.
Click [Properties], then click [Install...].
5.
Highlight "Client" and then click [Add].
6.
Under "Network Client:" select "Client for Microsoft
Networks" then click [OK].
7.
After the client has been installed click [Close].
8.
Restart your computer. The next time you logon to Windows
2000, a Wireless connection can be established through the IBM
infrared device.
