Cache Memory

The PC has a socket for the installation of an optional level-two cache memory
module. This module provides 256 KB cache.

Video Memory

The PC is supplied with 1 MB of video memory for 1024 × 768 in 256 colors. An
additional 1 MB of video memory can be installed by adding a pair of 512 KB
modules in surface mount technology sockets. This will make a total of 2 MB for
1024 × 768 in 64 K colors. You will need the PLLC Extraction Tool (part number
5041-2553) to remove the video upgrade chips from their sockets.

Main Memory

The PC uses 32-bit 60ns EDO main memory modules. Memory modules must be
installed in pairs of identical modules. Use only 4 MB and 16 MB modules in
bank C.
The PC is supplied with 8 MB or 16 MB of main memory (2 × 4 MB or 2 × 8 MB
memory modules installed in bank A). The maximum memory supported is
128 MB.
