Seagate laptop power management and the speed of a SATA 3Gb/s interface delivers the optimum mix of

Perpendicular recording technology – increases performance and reliability by aligning the data bits vertically on
the disk.
NCQ dramatically increases performance by organizing incoming commands in the most efficient order.
For the optimum in mobility, the Momentus 5400 leverages Seagate's laptop power management technology and
ramp load features which remove the head from the disk during idle periods; idle power consumption is improved
and the durability of the drive improves as well. Plus, to keep noise levels to a minimum, QuietStep™ ramp load
technology delivers ultra-quiet load/unload acoustics.
The high performance Momentus 7200 closes the gap between desktop and laptop computers with 7200 RPM
