Media Center recorded the wrong show or channel
If you receive your TV signal through a set-top box, then Media C enter might encounter an error when changing channels to begin
recording a show. The automatic behavior that some set-top boxes have affects Media C enter's ability to control the set-top box. When
Media C enter tunes to a channel that is not part of your TV service package, the set-top box might instead:
C hange to a default channel
Display an onscreen error
Remain on the last viewed channel
C hange to the closest viewable channel
In all cases, the set-top box performs a default action that Media C enter cannot detect and causes Media C enter to get out of sync and
record the wrong channel.
Note
In the case of an onscreen error, no further channel navigation for recording TV is possible until you take action with the
set-top box remote. The error might cause several incorrect recordings if you are away from your computer and unable to correct
the problem immediately.
To prevent Media C enter from trying to access and record channels that you do not subscribe to, you should turn off the channels that
are not included in your television service package.
