Page numbers reference the MC-8 User Guide (Rev 0).
1. DOLBY D STATUS menu level meters do not indicate accurate input levels when a 2-channel Dolby
Digital source is present and the PLII + THX, PLII MOVIE, or PRO LOGIC listening mode is activated.
This does not affect MC-8 audio performance.
2. Possible settings for the DOLBY D STATUS menu EX ENCODING parameter (2-23) are ON and OFF.
3. Possible settings for the dts(-ES) STATUS menu CHANNELS parameter (2-23) include 3/3.1, 3/2.1, and
3/2.
4. When switching from a 7-channel speaker setup to a 5-channel speaker setup, the ES DECODING
parameter (5-30) remains at its last setting. However, the ES DECODING parameter has no effect
when a 5-channel speaker setup is selected.
5. When the trigger output connector labeled 1 is configured for remote operation (3-54), it can be
activated and deactivated with the remote control OSD and BLUE buttons (2-13) when the Shift
command bank is activated.
6. When the LOCK OPTIONS menu SETUP parameter (3-55) is set to LOCKED:
Activating the Shift command bank and pressing the remote control 2 CH button (2-16) still
toggles the MAIN ADV menu 2-CH ANLG BYP parameter setting.
Activating the Shift command bank and pressing the remote control 7/5 button (2-16) still
toggles the MAIN ADV menu INPUT SELECT parameter setting.
7. When the LOCK OPTIONS menu MODES parameter (3-55) is set to LOCKED:
Activating the Zone 2 command bank and pressing the remote control 5 and 6 arrows (2-14)
still increases and decreases subwoofer output levels that are applied to the active listening mode.
