Key Lock
The two position key-lock is used to secure the computer and desktop expansion base
in the following modes.
OPEN
Nothing is "locked", and the computer can be docked and undocked at will.
SECURE
The computer is "locked" to the desktop expansion base.
The DEB MultiBays are "locked".
The computer MultiBay device is locked by the docking process.
The desktop expansion base PC Card slots are "locked".
Convenience Base
The Convenience Base security is the same as the desktop expansion base, with the
following exceptions.
The Convenience Base does not have to lock the MultiBay (or hard drive) on the
computer if the convenience base allows the user access to the computer locking
mechanism.
The convenience base has a two stage lock as follows:
OPEN
Nothing is "locked", and the computer can be docked and undocked at will.
SECURE
The computer is "locked" to the convenience base.
The Convenience Base MultiBays are "locked".
The computer MultiBay device is locked by the docking process.
