Suggested Tools for Installation:
❑ 3/8" ratchet and metric sockets
❑ Jack and jackstands
Proper installation is the responsibility of the installer. Improper installation will void warranty and may
DISASSEMBLY
1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove factory exhaust system from the flange
located behind the catalytic converter.
ASSEMBLY
1. Disconnect the fuel vapor return line from the vapor
canister located just above the rear-end housing. Place
the heat shield sleeve over return line and reconnect it
to the canister. NOTE: Since fuel lines contain harmful
vapors, this procedure should be done in a well
ventilated area clear of any open flames or extreme
heat.
Safety glasses should also be worn when
performing this action.
2. Using the supplied 10mm bolts, lock washers, and flat
washers from the kit, install the I-pipe assembly #25-
3285 placing the hangers in the rubber isolators.
3. Using a 2-1/2" band clamp and hanger clamp assembly
#23-4107 from the kit, install muffler #25-55742.
NOTE: Only snug all clamps at this time for adjusment
later.
4. Install overaxle pipe assembly #25-3286.

EDELBROCK CAT-BACK EXHAUST SYSTEM
For 2007-2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser 2WD & 4WD
❑ 14mm, 15mm, and 17mm Wrenches
❑ Liquid penetrant and rubber lubricant
5. Using a 2-1/2" band clamp, install tailpipe assembly
#25-3298 placing the hanger in the rubber isolator.
6. Using a 2-1/2" band clamp, install tailpipe tip #25-
5582.
7. Working from the front of the system to the rear, adjust,
align, and tighten all the band clamps. Give adequate
clearance for fuel lines, brake lines, electrical wiring,
and the spare tire.
