Security settings (Menu 4-6)

Your phone is equipped with a versatile security system to prevent
unauthorised use of the phone or the SIM card. See also 'Reference
Information' - 'Access Codes'.

PIN-code request (Menu 4-6-1)

Within this menu you can set the phone to ask for the PIN code of
your SIM card when the phone is switched on. You will need the PIN
code to turn this request function on.
Note that some SIM cards do not allow the PIN code request to be
turned off.

Security level (Menu 4-6-2)

This menu allows you to set the phone security level on to avoid
unauthorised use of the phone. You will need the security code to
set the security level. The available options are:
None
no security code is needed.
Memory
security code is required when the phone book
memory is selected.
Phone
security code required when a new SIM card is inserted.
NOTE: When you change the security level, all the recent calls lists
are cleared.

Call barring service (Menu 4-6-3)

This network service allows you to restrict the making and receiving
of calls with your phone. For this function you need the barring
password.
You have the following barring modes to choose:
Outgoing calls
International calls
International except to home country
within and to your home country.
calls cannot be made.
calls cannot be made to foreign countries.
63
calls can be made only
