Working with the notebook

Setting up WLAN access

Requirement: A WLAN must be available and you must have the
corresponding access information.
Information on configuring the WLAN access can be found in the
documentation for your operating system.

Access via UMTS

If you have ordered your device with a built-in UMTS module, your device will
be equipped with the corresponding aerials, a SIM card slot and the software for
establishing a connection. You can purchase a SIM card in a shop.
► Windows XP and Windows Vista: To connect to a UMTS network, select Start - Programs
-OneClick Internet.
► Windows 7: To connect to a UMTS network, select Start - All Programs -OneClick Internet.

► On the desktop, double-click on the OneClick Internet icon (device-dependent).

Ethernet and LAN

EthernetLAN
The internal network module of your notebook supports Ethernet LAN. You can use it to
establish a connection to a local network (LAN = Local Area Network).

Your network administrator can help you to configure and use the LAN connections.
The network cable is not included in the delivery scope. This type of
cable can be obtained from a specialist dealer.
