7. Enter the feature key in the Feature Key box, and then click Update.
A confirmation page contains a warning that this action will override the current set of features on
the switch.

Click OK to activate the new feature key.
The switch performs an IPL when the key is activated and the feature key is installed.
NOTE:
When you select OK, all current features are replaced with new features.

Back up the configuration data when you are finished configuring the switch.

Installing a feature key using HAFM

After obtaining the feature key, install the feature using HAFM as follows:
1. Log in to HAFM and access the Hardware View.

If your firmware is 04.01.02 or later, proceed to

If your firmware is earlier than 04.01.02, Select Maintenance > Set Offline State to set the switch
offline.
The Hardware View is displayed.
3. Select Configure > Features.
The Configure Feature Key dialog box is displayed
