Defrost whenever the frost becomes 1/4" thick_ Never use a sharp or
metallic instrument to remove the frost as it may damage the cooling
coils. (A punctured coil wiJJvoid the warranty}
Turnthe temperaturecontrol to OFF position and unplug the uniL
Removethe drain plug from the inside of the freezer (seefig. #3a}_
Defrostingusually takesa few hours. Todefrost fosterkeep the
freezer door open_
For draining, place a tray beneaththe outer drain pJug_ Pull out the
drain dial (seefig. #3b) and rotate it so that the arrow points
downwar& Thisw@let the water flow out in the tray_ When done, push
the drain dial in and turn the arrow to the up position_Re-plugthe drain
plug insidethe freezer compartment Note: monitor the container under
the drain to avoid overflow_
Wipe the interior of the freezer and replace the electrical plug in the
electrical oufleL
Reset the temperature control to the desired setting,
Your freezer comeswith a hoseadapter in caseyou would like to drain
the defrostedwater directly to the drain_ Thehoseadapter fits in the
outer drain plug. Threadthe hoseto theadapter.
Note: Thedrain hasto be at a lower level than the hoseadapten

When powering on ),'ourfreezer,the temperature
alarm system(white switch) shouldbe at the "O"
position_Putit in the "-" position once the freezer is
on for a period of 24 hours_If the temperaturein the
freezer rises above -60"F,then there is a built-in
audible alarm systemto warn you_ThiswiJJshut off
onceyou turn off the temperaturealarm switch.
