Problem
No sound or distorted sound.
Picture freezes momentarily during
disc playback.
Cannot play back a disc.
SD Memory Card cannot be read.
Cannot play back JPEG files from a disc. Make sure that the disc was recorded in the UDF, ISO9660 or JOLIET format.
Cannot play back MP3 files from a
disc.
Cannot play back WMA files from a disc. Make sure that the sample rate of the WMA files is 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz.
No return to start-up screen when
disc is removed.
The unit does not respond to the
remote control.

of the TV screen.
Buttons do not work or the unit
stops responding.
The unit does not respond to some
operating commands during playback.
The unit cannot read Blu-ray Disc™
/ DVD/ CD.
Scene shooting angle does not

Adjust the volume.
Check if speakers are connected correctly.
Check the HDMI connections.
Make sure the HDMI cable is not plugged into the HDMI-DVI TV connector
which does not allow audio to be received by the TV set.
Check the settings in "Audio Out" menu.
Check the disc for fingerprints / scratches and clean with a soft cloth wiping
from center to outer edge.
Clean the disc.
Make sure that the product supports the disc.
Check the region code of the disc. This unit supports the following region codes.
-Blu-ray Disc™ : "A"
-DVD : "ALL" or "1"
Clean the disc.
The format of the card is not accepted by this unit or the card is not compatible.
Make sure that the disc was recorded in the UDF, ISO9660 or JOLIET format.
Make sure that the bit rate of the MP3 files is between 112 and 320 kbps.
Make sure that the sample rate of the MP3 files is 32 kHz, 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz.
Soft reset this unit by turning it off for 30 seconds, then on again.
To completely reset the unit, press and hold [. STANDBY/ON] on the
front panel for 10 seconds to shut down the unit or unplug the AC cord
from the AC outlet for 5-10 seconds.
Aim the remote control directly at infrared sensor window on the front
panel. (Refer to page 12)
Reduce the distance to infrared sensor window.
Check the +/– polarity of the batteries and replace both batteries in the
remote control if required.
Go to "IR Signal Check" on page 60.
The current operation is not possible.
To soft reset the unit, press and hold [. STANDBY/ON] on the front
panel for 10 seconds to shut down the unit or to hard reset the unit by
unplugging the AC cord from the AC outlet for 5-10 seconds.
Operations may not be permitted by the disc. Refer to the instructions for
the disc.
Condensation? (Let sit 1 or 2 hours)
Check if the disc is compatible with this unit. (Refer to page 19.)
Wipe dirt off the disc from the center to the outside or replace the disc.
Refer to "Cleaning Discs" on page 60.
The angle cannot be switched for Blu-ray Disc™ / DVD which do not contain
multiple angles. In some cases multiple angles are only recorded for specific scenes.
Check the settings in "Parental" menu.
Enter the default password "4737", then your forgotten password will be
cleared. Then to change password go to "Password Change" on page 49.
