Instructions for periodic maintenance

To ensure long life, prevent damage and ensure the full functioning of the safety features the following maintenance must be per-
formed regularly. Guarantee claims can be recognized only if this work is performed regularly and properly. Failure to perform the
prescribed maintenance work can lead to accidents!
The user of the hedge trimmer must not perform maintenance work which is not described in the instruction manual. All such work
must be carried out by a DOLMAR service centre.

Replacing the suction head

The felt filter (8) of the suction head can become clogged.
It is recommended to replace the suction head once every
three months in order to ensure unimpeded fuel flow to the
carburetor.
To remove the suction head for replacement, pull it out through
the tank filler neck using a piece of wire bent at one end to
form a hook.

Lubricating the drive

The drive needs to be lubricated every 10 to 0 operating
hours.
Apply a grease gun at the lubrication opening (9) and press in
grease (SHELL ALVANIA RL3 or equivalent).
Clean exterior, check for damage. In case of damage,
have repaired by a qualified service centre immediately
If necessary, have sharpened by a service centre
Check for damage. If damaged, have replaced
at service centre
Check for damage and sharpness
Check slide play, if necessary adjust
Functional check
Check for tightness
Clean (more frequently if very dirty)
Check (cutter must not move)
Clean to maintain good cooling air flow.
