The administrator can configure the iLO device for proactive management by allowing SNMP trap
delivery to HP SIM. Up to three TCP/IP addresses can be configured to receive SNMP alerts.
Typically, the administrator configures one address to be the same as the TCP/IP address of the HP
SIM server console, while the others can be backup monitoring consoles.
If the administrator has changed the ports that the iLO device uses, some modifications must be made
to HP SIM in order to discover these new ports. To change the port number in HP SIM, add the port to
the 'config\identification\additionalWsDisc.props' file in the directory where HP SIM is installed. The
entry must be on a single line and must start with the HTTP port number for iLO. The following sample
entry is for an iLO to be discovered at port 55000:
55000=iLO, ,true,false,com.hp.mx.core.tools.identification.mgmtproc.MgmtProcessorParser
No entry is required if iLO remains at the standard port, Port 80.
