Your selection automatically sets the mode for the
scanning job.

On the Simple Mode sheet you click one of the flat
buttons (the black inverted triangles) to open a pop-
up menu and select another setting.
You can click the Edit Image Type button and define
up to 12 custom Image Types in the Image Type
Settings dialog box. ( p.27)
Click the "Magazine-Reduce Moiré" check box
( p.29) on when scanning magazine pages to enable
moiré reduction and reduce dot patterns.
