Quick Start Guide

We know you're excited about owning an ASKO dishwasher and you're anxious to get started, so here's a brief summary of the operation
procedures. The page references in this guide refer to the Use and Care Guide. To get the most out of the features of your new
dishwasher, we recommend that you read the Use and Care Guide.
THE CONTROL PANEL
THE CONTROL PANEL
Models D1976 and D1976CSTM have touchpad control panels, as illustrated below. To select a wash program or option, simply press
the appropriate touchpad. When you press a touchpad, a red indicator light at the upper left of the touchpad glows to show that you
selected that program or option. After you've selected the desired wash program and options, press Start.

programs and options.
LED Window
The LED window displays temperature settings,
program run time, delay time, and fault codes.
WASH PROGRAMS AND OPTIONS
WASH PROGRAMS AND OPTIONS
Your ASKO dishwasher has several wash programs and options specifically designed to reduce your energy costs and make your life
easier. Press the touchpad(s) to select the desired program and option(s).
Programs
Pots & Pans/Sani-wash
Cleans and sanitizes the heaviest soiled loads, such as
pots, pans, casseroles, etc.
Super
For dishes that have been sitting with dried food on them
for a while.
Normal
For normal wash loads.
Light
For lightly soiled loads. Items such as fine china and
crystal can be washed in this program, but you should
use the low temperature setting and turn the Heat dry off.
(Recommend 130° F)
Quick
Also for lightly soiled loads or delicate dishware.
(Recommend 130° F)
Rinse
To rinse dishes that you plan to wash later that day.
Plate warm
Warms plates by activating the heating element.
Start
After you've selected your wash program and options, press this touchpad to start the dishwasher.
If you've started the dishwasher then decide to change a program or an option, press and hold Start for five seconds to cancel
the program and stop the machine. Make your new selections and press Start again.

PROGRAM MEMORY
When you select the Pans/Sani, Super, or Normal wash program, the dishwasher retains the settings until you change them. Simply
press Start to use the previous settings. If you want to use a different wash program or option, press the touchpad(s) for the desired
selections, then press Start.

SUPER CLEANING SYSTEM
Indicator Lights
These lights glow red to indicate which
program and options you have selected.
Rinse Aid Indicator
Glows red when the rinse aid
dispenser needs to be refilled.
Options
Delay
Each press of this touchpad delays the start by one hour,
up to 12 hours. The number of hours selected is displayed
in the LED window. After you select the hours, press Start.
To cancel Delay, press the touchpad until the LED displays
zero then press Start.
Economy
When used with low temperature settings, saves energy
by extending the wash time.
Heat dry
Activates the heating element during the drying cycle to
speed up the drying process.
Fan cool
Activates the fan for an additional 30 minutes after the drying
cycle to cool the dishes.
Temp
Lets you select the water temperature for the wash
programs (except Rinse). The LED displays the
temperatures in Celsius. Refer to "Temperature Options"
on the next page for a conversion table.
Start
After you've selected the
desired wash program and
options, press this touchpad
to start the dishwasher.
