4.8 Disk Utilities

The Disk Utilities enable you to low-level format or verify the media of your Serial ATA
hard disks.
From the Adaptec RAID Configuration Utility menu, select Disk Utilities.

Arrow keys to move cursor, <Enter> to select option, <Esc> to exit (*=default)
1. Press the <Enter> key to select SATA Disk.

Only drives present at POST are displayed
Arrow keys to move cursor, <Enter> to select option, <Esc> to exit (*=default)
Take caution in using this option;
Format Disk-This drive is about to be formatted. All data on the disk
will be erased.
Verify Disk Media- This drive will be scanned for media defects. All
recoverable defects will be remapped.
