You must provide two perma- nent openings: one within 12" of the ceiling and one within 12" of the floor. Connect these items directly to the outdoors or spaces open to the outdoors.

3. Make sure control knob of heater is in the OFF position. 4. Check all joints from manual shutoff valve to thermostat gas valve (models VN2000BTA and VN2800BTA) or control valve (model VN2000BA) (see Figure 15). Apply mixture of liquid soap and water to gas joints. Bubbles forming show a leak.
