    Configuration Accessing the OSD Menu Press the OSD controller joystick to access the OSD menus. Move the joystick in the desired direction to navigate through menu options. Two dots (..) indicates that a submenu is present. Press the joystick to enter or exit a submenu.     Exposure Menu Lens Select DC as the lens mode. Enter the DC setup menu to focus the lens using the focus meter. The maximum focus number corresponds to the best focus. Note Only DC mode is supported at this time. Choosing MANUAL mode might cause incorrect operation.
  • Page 9 BLC (Backlight Compensation) Backlight compensation prevents subjects in the center of the scene from appearing too dark when backlighting is present. Select ON or OFF. If ON is selected, enter the BLC setup menu to select the amount of backlight compensation you want to use.
  • Page 10 AGC (Automatic Gain Control) Automatic gain control adjusts the video signal strength to compensate for changes in light levels. Select from LOW, MEDIUM, HIGH, or CUSTOM. If CUSTOM is selected, enter the AGC menu to adjust the values for bias and limit. Sense-Up Sense-Up lets you adjust the frame integration to provide a clear image under low light conditions.
  • Page 11 Meter Zone Meter Zone is a zone for automatic exposure (AE) and white balance (WB). Enter the Meter Zone Setup menu and select one of the following presets: WD NORMAL, SAFE AREA, ATM, or LOWER 1/3. You can reposition or resize the zone. The color of the zone frame determines what actions you can perform.

    Color Menu WB Mode (White Balance Setting) The color balance is adjustable for the ambient lighting conditions of the scene. You can select from ATWDESAT, PUSH LOCK, MANUAL, ATW XTND, or ATW NORMAL. ATWDESAT Auto Tracking White Balance Desaturating. Useful for low light conditions. PUSH LOCK Allows users to set the white balance based on current lighting.

    Color Gain You can adjust the level of color saturation. Select a value from –8 to 8. The factory default setting for both is 0. Day&Night Menu D&N Mode Select from AUTO, AUTO(EXT) [not supported], COLOR, or BW. AUTO The camera automatically switches between day mode (color) and night mode (black and white) depending on the light level of the scene.

  • Page 16 Gamma You can set the gamma level from 0.25 to 1.0. The factory default setting is 0.45. 3D DNR (Digital Noise Reduction) 3D DNR reduces digital noise, producing clear images in low light conditions. Select MOVIE or INFO. MOVIE Color is enhanced in low light. INFO Sharpness is enhanced in low light.

    D-Zoom (Digital Zoom) Use the D-Zoom function to zoom in on the image. You can zoom in up to 12×. The values you can configure in the D-ZOOM menu include: ZOOM TILT Set from 1× to 12×. Pan left or right. Tilt up or down.
  • Page 18 SETUP MOTION ZONE You can set an area for Motion Detection. Configure the zone you want monitored for motion detection. Up to four areas can be chosen.

    When MOTION ON is selected, and an alarm occurs, the word “ALARM!” appears on the screen. ZONE Color White Green Screen Function Move the zone. Extend the zone. Narrow the zone. Privacy Menu PRIVACY MASK You can set a certain area of the screen to be hidden. You can hide up to six zones. Change the zone size.

    MASK COLOR You can change the mask color to WHITE, BLACK, or RED. Sync Menu SYNC MODE Use this mode when you are using line lock. Select internal (INT1 or INT2) or external (LL) sync.

    When you select L/L MODE (only available when unit is AC powered), you can configure the LL Limit and the V Phase. The LL Limit is the allowable deviation from nominal frequency. Setup Menu TITLE The camera title can be displayed on screen. TITLE Edit the camera title.
  • Page 22 There are two options you can select to minimize color roll: CRR and CRR2. Set the camera to CRR2 when using a DC lens. Note The HD4US(X) camera only supports CRR2 mode at this time. Choosing CRR might cause incorrect operation.
